When we moved into our rental house, we decided that we could live without cable... and the $140/month price tag that came with it. Our thinking was that we'd just get an HD antenna from Best Buy to pick up a few tv channels over the airwaves.
Well... it was spotty at best and was more frustrating to watch than it was worth it.
So, Mike did some research and found plans to build an HD antenna. Drum roll please.........
For about $25, we have FREE tv over the airwaves- and it comes in so clearly you'd never know the difference! We get CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, and of course PBS. We also get a few spanish and cartoon channels- Gunney will be bilingual in no time!

That is just so cool, I seriously want to have no cable bill and just use an antenna like that! Good job Mikey!

ReplyDeletewe went without cable for a few years when we got married and never missed it! now we have the converter box with a little $10 antenna in our bedroom. we get all the networks up there which is all we ever watch anyway, it works out great!
ReplyDeletewith a toddler though, we have to have the dvr and cartoon channels downstairs. we only watch a couple shows, and life's just way too nuts to be able to actually watch them live.
