Clifton Christmas

We spent the weekend before Christmas with the Cliftons in Rural Hall. MawMaw prepared a Christmas feast, we took Gunney to his first basketball game (Austin is really good!), hung out with JO and Ally and enjoyed Christmas lunch at the Sniders. Everyone was so generous with their gifts and we really enjoyed the time just hanging out. Thank you guys for making Gunney's first Christmas so special!

Gainesville... so, we didn't win... but we had a blast!

After we left Savannah, we headed down to Florida to meet up with Kyle, Leah and Nick at their aunt and uncle's house. They were very hospitable and we had a blast!

To wrap up an already great weekend... we headed out to the River House for dinner and marshmallow toasting...

We had an awesome dinner at The Lady and Sons- Paula Deen's restaurant! Yum!

 The next day, we took an awesome trolley tour of the city- highly recommend it!

Mikey is 30!

We celebrated birthday week this year for Mikey's big 3-0! First, Mike, Gunney and I took a trip to Gainesville, with a stop in Savannah... on his actual birthday we went to dinner with friends in Raleigh (and of course I didn't take any pictures... oops!), then we went to Rural Hall for Thanksgiving and birthday celebration, to Boone to get a tree, then home for a surprise party!! Thank you to everyone who made Mike's birthday week so special! (I'll break this into a few posts... here is the party!)

 Mike got his grandfather's chicken stew pot... given to Ronnie by Grandma and then to Mike by Ronnie... one day Mike will pass it down to Gunney... too cool!

That's right... my 97.9 year old grandfather (Gunney's Great Grandpa) has a blog! Aunt Barbara sent a link this evening... and he looks fantastic!!

We look forward to keeping up with all of your adventures, Pop!! And plan to get out there to see you as soon as possible!
