I'll post more on the process later... but suffice it to say that lil' man love his Christmas present from his Momma... and I am pretty darn proud!

Fingerpainting

Gunney's newest pastime... fingerpainting! Of course he has more on his face than on the paper most of the time. He loves to see his completed artwork hanging in the kitchen. So much fun.

Go! Go!

Gunney absolutely LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba! When he wants to watch the show, he points to the tv and says Go! Go! He smiles and waves to DJ Lance Rock and claps for the characters. While it seems as the show may have been invented by someone who is a lil' off their rocker... the songs and messages are great and Gunney loves to get up and sing and dance along with the show.

Rachel is making him a character from this show for Christmas... stay tuned!

Gunney's 15 months

We took G to the doctor for his 15 (and a half) month doctor's appointment on Thursday. We waited an hour and 15 minutes past our appointment time to even see the doctor (read, we are not the most patient people and it was past him nap time = torture) The one awesome part about waiting so long... this picture. Isn't he just the cutest?

Gunney weighs 21 lbs 5 oz and is 31.5" tall

He is right on track, a little on the smaller side, but the doctor is not concerned. She attributes it to the fact that he never stops moving and she was happy with his diet (meat, fruit, veggies, eggs, bread).

Here are some updates on lil man:

He loves animal crackers- Costco has a giant container of organic animal crackers that he's now eaten 1.5 containers of...

He has a bottle at night and in the morning... just switched his morning bottle to a cup

His words: bat, ball, Mom, milk, Dad, meow, sit, stand, fan, spoon, done, down (he also says down when he means up), please (he says more, but he means please)

He is walking, when he wants to. He is so proud to show you that he can stand and walk a few steps.

He also climbs, a ridiculous amount.

He loves to play outside and has a crush on the neighbor girls, Sydney (12) and Paige (10)

We are growing even more in love with our little man every day. Mike is simply the best Dad you can imagine and he and Gunney are best friends.

Thanksgiving, times two

We had a great Thanksgiving this year! We started out in Rural Hall, the week before Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately, the boys had the creeping crud and were sick the first 4 days they were there. But, they recovered and are doing great now. Mikey went hunting and shot two deer- we have a freezer full of venison!

Gunney did his fair share of walking, crawling and climbing (even standing on MawMaw's table). We celebrated Mike, Taylor and Dillon's birthdays. Rachel and Momma C went to the craft fair and we had some delicious food. Due to scheduling conflicts and illnesses, we ended up having Thanksgiving/Birthday lunch at the local Mexican restaurant... and it was great.

Momma brought a cake and they also sang the traditional Mexican birthday song. We surely missed having family lunch at Johnny's and are looking forward to our Christmas Eve there!

Round two took place in Georgia and we got to host Thanksgiving for the first time ever! Wednesday was Mike's birthday and the boys set up the ping pong table and went to the firing range while Rachel and Kerry made two birthday desserts- cinnamon toast crunch cupcakes (a pinterest pin) and the Clifton Family Ice Cream Cake (secret family recipe... yum!).

On Thursday, Mikey deep fried a turkey and it was FAN-tastic! Cuzzie and Betty flew in from Colorado, Mom, Dad, Kerry, Brad and Caleb flew in from Cary and Kyle, Leah, Emery and Beth all came over from their houses in Georgia. It was so nice of everyone to travel to be with us... we really appreciate it! In the morning we "ran" in the Gobble Jog. Kerry and Brad ran in the 10k, while the rest of us attempted the 5K... it was too crowded to run! Betty, Kyle and Leah managed to move through the crowd to run at least part of the race.

       

Rachel, Kerry and Beth spent the day in the kitchen cooking while Grammy and Pop entertained the kids.   Brad beat everyone at ping pong in between helping Mikey fry the turkey and wings. Kyle, Leah, Betty, Cuz and Emery came over shortly before meal time and brought some delicious food.

We got to skype with Poppa that evening and truly enjoyed having Ging's recipes of Toffee Bars, Crab Canapes and the crowd favorite (no surprise) Bourbon Slushies!

We are so looking forward to seeing everyone at Christmas!

"Hoppy" Halloween!

 

Happy Birthday G Man

One year ago today, at 7:41 PM, our precious Guenther Gray was born! It was the best night of our lives... and yet somehow it keeps getting better day after day. We are in love with our sweet little man and so thankful for the joy and adventure that he has brought to our lives.

The Cliftons are Hooooooooooome!

As of this afternoon, we are the owners of this gorgeous home in Kennesaw, GA

We are excited to be moving in and putting down some roots in Georgia. There is also a fully finished basement... come on down for a visit!

Gunney's One Year Photoshoot

Gunney's first visit to the Barber Shop

Gunney went for his first haircut at a real barber shop yesterday.

He was a perfect angel and looks like a million bucks. 

This is no "regular" barber though... Darnell is very special to our family.

Darnell has cut FOUR generations of Clifton/Willard men's hair.

Grandpa Willard, PawPaw Ronnie, Mikey and now Gunney.

We love that Gunney is able to be part of this special tradition
