My cravings at this point are completely dependent on what I hear, see, and smell. And its not a "yeah, that would be nice", its "if you don't get me some now, I will bite you. :)

Get this... I saw an Arbys commercial and thought, Man, I'd kill for an Arbys Melt. If I didn't think it would make me REALLY sick, I wouldve had one Friday night. Let's be honest, if I would have passed an Arbys, I would have gone for it anyway.

So, fingers crossed, I will make it through until Peanut arrives. For now, I'm off to raid the pantry. (Red Lobster is closed :( )

Baby Clifton: Week 15


Baby Clifton is approaching normal proportions!!  All four limbs have functional joints, and legs are now longer than the arms. Peanut is squirming and wiggling like crazy. And though I'm not supposed to be able to feel it... yet... check out my last post...

Yesterday when I was working with Michael, I could've sworn I felt Baby Clifton "kick".... it was just a flutter- and it happened again this morning... hmmmmmmmm... will keep you posted!

Loving the Midwest

So, I'm at a our National Sales Meeting this week... and loving it! I got paired with the group from the Midwest, and not only are they hilarious- they've made me an honorary member of their region, and are quickly becoming friends. They're thrilled about the pending arrival of Baby Clifton and have had tons of great stories and advice. We have "prom" tonight- our awards dinner- I'm excited to see my new friends up on stage!

Peanut is a Lemon!!

Our adorable little Peanut is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth. (crazy!)

Peanut is a Peach :)

Peanut is forming teeth (what!?!) and vocal cords...  their non-functional phase. Peanut is also approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

Boy or Girl???

Will post Monday what our friends and family have guessed so far...

Momma needs iron...

Everything else from our check up was a-ok. Healthy mom, healthy baby. And while Baby Peanut is getting all of the iron he/she needs, I'm not.
I've always had a tendency towards anemia... it just made me tired. Every once in a while a doctor would tell me to take iron and I would for a while... only when I was giving blood was it a real issue.

So, I'm taking iron now and eating my leafy green veggies, like spinach :)

Popeye would be so proud.

3:30 am, Peanut's favorite time of day (night)

3:30am... really? Who is awake then?

Well, these days, Peanut and I are. At 3:30 am, almost on the money, I wake up for a good 30 minutes. I mean wide awake, not going back to sleep, checking Facebook awake.

We hang out for a little bit, read, and go back to bed.

I wonder if this will be a regular thing once Peanut joins us in this world??
